Other overhaul mods lock key recipes behind their classes and speccing into another class is either difficult or impossible. While it has a class system, it doesn't feel oppressive.Nearly everything is farmable and nearly every item has a use.As is tradition with overhaul mods, it adds a ton of custom enemies with unique affixes and attacks, new POIs, tons of new items, and generally makes the game more challenging for seasoned players. UL when DF becomes trivial and abit too easy(late game) I have most hours in df, it is the most player friendly, nights are scetchy in df and ravenhearst.Īny of these tend to make vanilla feel abit hollow, but if your looking for overhauls, you have already hit that point. Try Darkness falls first, as it will help set you up for the next couple. Undead legacy for things like crafting from storage and hoarding working stiffs signs and such, try second. Ravenhearst feels gritty like a survival should, try last. RH is a beast, very grindy, can only store things in player built storage, good luck getting your friends into this one. UL can build from storage, and pick up almost everything, building abit trickier, abit grindy and more complicated building, I found the smoothest playthrough, but vehicles are meh and killed it for me. they all add a fair bit, df probably most popular and least grindy, easiest to build, by end game, player is op. I know it really comes down to trying them all out for myself to see which ones I like, but given how much time is required when starting a new world, I figured I'd ask here first to gain some insight into them from those of you that have played them already. I eventually want to try some of these out once I feel like I've ran vanilla's course. Have you tried more than one? If so, what are your favorite things about them that make you choose one over the others? Which one is most challenging? What are things that you believe lack in the three? Which ones add updates the most? Is one of them more mod-friendly over the others, where they work better to be compatible with other mods? How is storage space/inventory space in all of them? The skill system? Any information at all about why you like or dislike one or the others would be great! Which in your opinion is the greatest, the most fun, the most content-packed? Obviously greatest is very subjective, but by greatest I mean the one you recommend the most and why. Those are the main three that I keep hearing about.
